A desktop workspace where a team of AI agents plans, builds and checks real projects on your computer while you stay in control. Who it is for and how a task flows.

Maxtkn is a desktop app. You describe what you want in plain words, and a team of AI agents plans it, writes the files, runs the checks and reviews the result inside a folder on your own computer. You do not have to read code. You decide what the agents may do alone, you see every change, and you can undo it.
| What | Where |
|---|---|
| Your projects | In folders you choose. They are plain files, so any other tool can open them. |
| Your API keys | In the Windows Credential Manager, not in the project and not in the database. |
| History and settings | In a local database in the app’s own data folder on your computer. |
| Model requests | They go directly from the app to the provider you set up. Maxtkn does not sit in the middle and does not resell model access. |
| Word | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Project | A folder the agents work in. Agents cannot touch files outside it. |
| Thread | One task, with its whole conversation and history. A project can have many threads running at once. |
| Team | The agents that work on a thread: Solo, Product team or Full squad. You can design your own. |
| Access mode | When agents must ask you first: Ask first, Auto-edit or Full access. |
| Permission level | What is possible at all in a project: Read-only, Workspace, Workspace + network or Full machine. |
| Isolated copy | A separate copy of a git project where a thread can work. Nothing reaches your project until you click Apply. |
| Goal | A statement such as “the tests pass” that the team keeps working on until real checks say it is true. |
Something missing or wrong? Maxtkn is early-access software and these pages change with it. The changelog lists what changed in each build.
