Your first ten minutes in Maxtkn: the welcome, creating a first project, sending a first request and what you will see while the AI team works.

On a clean computer, Maxtkn opens with a short welcome in two screens: what it does, and how to connect a model. Add a model takes you to Settings. I'll do it later closes it. Start fresh, skip the setup closes it from the first screen. If you already have projects, you are never shown it.
/welcome in the message box, from the command palette, or from Settings → Welcome. The tour dims the window and lights up one control at a time, with a sentence about what it does: the message box, how much the team asks first, who does the work, the model, your projects and threads, and each place on the left rail. Choose Take a quick tour in the welcome, or start it any time with /tour or Settings → Take the tour. Use the arrow keys to move and Escape to leave.
Press New project, give it a name and choose its folder, or open a folder you already have. You can switch on version history (git) so every saved version is tracked from the start.
Then describe what you want in the message box and press Send. Nothing is sent until you do.
A quick chat is a conversation with no project, for a question or a small experiment. It can be turned into a real project later with Make this a project (or /promote): you choose a name and a folder, the files are copied and checked, and the conversation moves with them.
Something missing or wrong? Maxtkn is early-access software and these pages change with it. The changelog lists what changed in each build.
